Last year, with support from Indigenized Energy, Charlee enrolled in a solar training course at Red Cloud Renewable. She is now part of a Northern Cheyenne solar crew that is building the solar energy systems her community needs.

Indigenized Energy’s Solar Warrior Program was born of the belief that a Native-led organization like ours has a responsibility to invest in Native people. We train men and women from tribes across the U.S. for high-value jobs in a rapidly growing solar job market.
The Solar Warrior Fund provides critical funding to power the initiative and provides flexible dollars that Indigenized Energy can invest in ‘Solar Warriors’: tribal members who are learning the trade and transitioning to careers that support a clean energy revolution.
Gifts to the Solar Warrior Fund create invaluable impacts, for example:

$10,000 Sponsors a Solar Warrior for a two-week immersive training at Red Cloud Renewable’s all-native training facility near Pine Ridge, SD.

$6,000 Sponsors a Solar Warrior for a one-week immersive training at Red Cloud Renewable’s all-native training facility near Pine Ridge, SD.

$5,000 Provides a Solar Warrior with relocation support for apprenticeship training and employment in the solar industry

$1,000 Purchases safety equipment for an entire cohort of future Solar Warriors on a hands-on installation training project.

A $500 Pays stipend for a Solar Warrior to participate in a hands-on learning experience on a solar installation project.

$250 Purchases online course fee for aspiring Solar Warriors to be introduced to solar energy basics
