About the Role

The Fundraising Engagement Specialist (FES) plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing Indigenized Energy’s relationships with stakeholders through effective use of a strategic Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and utilization of the CRM to support donor segmentation, performance analysis, and data-driven communication strategies that enhance donor engagement and retention.

Areas of Responsibility

CRM Management

  • Oversee and enhance the CRM platform to ensure it remains user-friendly, maintains accurate data, and integrates seamlessly with other departments.


Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Regularly extract and analyze data from the CRM to assess donor engagement and campaign performance, delivering actionable insights and reports to leadership and other teams.


Donor Segmentation and Retention

  • Develop and implement effective donor segmentation strategies to customize communications and boost donor retention.


Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Communications team to align on newsletters, social media campaigns, and other initiatives, evaluating their impact on database growth, website traffic, and donations.


Training and Support

  • Create tailored training materials using Streak University for CRM users and provide continuous support and expertise to ensure effective utilization of the CRM system.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Demonstrated expertise in major gifts, corporate and foundation fundraising, event coordination, and digital fundraising strategies.

  • Proven track record in project management, with a history of successfully leading and executing complex fundraising campaigns.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • In-depth knowledge of donor cultivation processes, with experience managing the donor journey from initial prospecting through to cultivation and stewardship.

  • Proficient in working remotely, with strong ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and departments.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite.

  • Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees and customers.

  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multitasking and organizational skills.

  • Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.

  • Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.

  • Enthusiastic team player who understands the dynamic of working in a matrixed organization

  • Outgoing with ability to provide excellent customer service to staff and external partners

  • Excellent critical thinker and problem solver; able to make solid judgments and decisions

Salary Range
